Supervision Services for Professional Counselors
Clinical supervision for counselors working toward becoming a
Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia

What is the purpose of clinical supervision?
Per the Georgia Composite Board Rules: "Supervision means the clinical review, for the purpose of training or teaching, by a supervisor of a Professional Counselor's interaction with their clients. The purpose of supervision is to promote the development of the practitioner's clinical skills."

What is the format of your supervision?
Individual.

How often will we meet?
At least 36 times per year for 50 minutes each session = 30 hours per year.

When will we meet? 
I can currently take new supervision clients in all three of our offices.
Alpharetta: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Gainesville: Tuesday
Peachtree City: Thursday

Where will we meet?
At the Georgia Professional Counseling Center, Inc. in Alpharetta or
Gainesville or Peachtree City.

What do you charge?
$100 per 50 minute session.


What will be required of me to begin supervision?
Completion of a master's, specialist, or doctoral degree in an educational program primarily counseling in content or a program in applied psychology.

Proof of professional liability insurance.

Proof of a passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE).

Employment at a work setting approved by the Georgia Composite Board.

Evidence that you are not practicing independently or representing yourself to the public as an independent practitioner. Independent private practice is not an acceptable work setting.

A 30 minute face to face consultation with me. This is for your benefit to determine if my supervision services will be a good fit for you.

I am kind, genuine and I care about the professional development of excellent clinicians.

I have a variety of professional counseling experience including marriage counseling, premarital counseling, divorce recovery counseling, individual counseling with adolescents and adults for issues such as anxiety, depression, assertiveness, anger and substance abuse.

I have experience conducting forensic drug and alcohol evaluations and anger evaluations.

I have experience with counseling ethics including leading an ethics workshop since 2006.

I study and continuously keep up with the Georgia Composite Board licensure requirements. 

I have experience successfully operating a professional counseling center since 2006.

I am a Certified Professional Counselors Supervisor (LPCA-GA).
