Born in New York and raised in the Deep South Airiel is no stranger to diversity. She received a Bachelor of the Sciences in Sociology from the University of West Georgia. After the completion of her bachelors degree Airiel obtained multiple experiences working with children and families. In September of 2007 Airiel entered into her Masters program at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. With the conclusion of her MS in Family Therapy Airiel moved to Atlanta to continue her work with individuals, couples, and families.
